--> CPU fungsinya adalah melakukan operasi aritmatika dan logika terhadap data yang diambil dari memori atau dari informasi yang dimasukkan melalui beberapa perangkat keras, seperti papan ketik, pemindai, tuas kontrol, maupun tetikus.
--> Processor fungsinya yang mampu memproses data dalam bentuk apapun.

--> cache berfungsi untuk menampung data sementara sebelum diolah prosesor. letaknya dalam keping prosesor. cache L1 adalah yang paling dekat dengan core, dan kecepatannya sama dengan core. L1 mengakses data dari L2 cache. L2 berkecepatan lebih rendah dari L1, fungsinya menampung data dari L3 (kalau ada) atau langsung dari ram kalo L3 tidak ada. kalo L3 ada, L3 yang mengakses ram.
--> RAM berfungsi untuk sarana penyimpanan smentara yang prinsipnya jika komputer hidup data yang sedang diproses akan terus diproses jika komputer dimatikan data ynag diproses akan hilang karena bersifat remanen/sementara.
--> Motherboard berfungsi untuk tempat meletakan komponen-komponen yang berfungsi pada komputer seperti mengatur pemberian daya listrik pada setiap komponen komputer. Motherboard juga mengatur semua jalannya proses, mulai dari penyimpanan data seperti Hardisk, CD-ROM, keyboard, mouse dan printer.
--> harddrive berfungsi sebagai penyimpanan dalam ukuran yang sangat besar dan untuk menyinpan data apa saja.saat ini ukuran terbesar dari HDD adalah 1.5 TB/1500 GB.
--> VGA atau graphic card berfungsi sebagai proses data grafus misalakan dalam bermain sebuah game VGA card tersebut memproses grafis yang ada dalam sebuah game tersebut,dalam hardware in terjadi suatu kemajuan yang sangat pesat seiring adanya game-game berkualitas grafis tinggi.
--> slot pada motherboard berfungsi sebagai tempat untuk menancapkan processor.
